UkrAgroConsult updated universal yield calculator for growing agricultural crops
Due to the tendency of decrease in market prices for grains and oilseeds, data for calculations within "margin calculator" were adjusted.
Marginal calculator is available for free use on one of UkrAgroConsult's resources - UAIndex.
The calculator was developed in July 2011 and allows to calculate the marginal income from the production of six agricultural crops on one hectare of land in Ukraine (wheat, corn, barley, rapeseed, soybean, sunflower). This tool allows to predict the profitability of cultivation of a crop.
During the Fourth International Conference "Agricultural investment - Inputs 2011" collected user feedback showed that use of this service in the calculation of the marginal income from crops cultivation is efficient.
The marginal revenue calculation takes into account costs of key inputs: seeds, fertilizers, fuel, herbicides, pesticides, use of machinery, land lease, yield, wages, and projected selling price.
It deals with two farming types: extensive and intensive ones.
