Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has ordered that the question of Ukraine's membership of the International Grains Council be resolved soon.
"I am asking for all of the necessary decisions to be taken," she said at a council on resolving the situation in the grain market in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Tymoshenko also ordered the allocation of the necessary funds to pay off debts for membership fees to the International Grains Council.
Ukrainian Grain Association President Volodymyr Klymenko said during the council that Ukraine owed 76,000 pounds sterling in membership fees to the council. He also stressed the importance of the country's membership of this organization, which, according to him, "resolves the issues of forming grain prices." PA
