5838 hectares of lands were damaged by floods in Moldova

The data was provided by the Minister of agriculture and food industry Anatolie Gorodenco at the Flood Consequences Liquidation Commission’s sitting, InfoMarket agency was informed at the Ministry of economy and trade of Moldova. Gorodenco added the floods had damaged 5365 hectares of agricultural lands and 473 hectares of private vegetable gardens.
He said the Ministry would set the humanitarian assistance volume within the next few days to be distributed among the people whose vegetable gardens were flooded. They will receive wheat, sugar, oil and other products. It was said at the sitting that the state had already supplied those who suffered from the floods with 24 tones of humanitarian aid including flour, sugar, oil and other production.
