Sofia. Bulgarian farmers have initiated a campaign against the state in effort to pump up the plummeting grain prices, the Sega Daily informs. Surprisingly yesterday the Association of Bulgarian grain producers rejected the information of the Agriculture ministry for record high crops.
The official statistics shows that this year’s crops is record high for the last 16 years. The news sent the grain prices plummeting down on the commodities exchange. The grain crops is enough and is with good quality. Bread will not grow more expensive, head of the Bulgarian Association of Bread Producers Dimitar Lyudiev said. This is a rumor spread by some large producers in effort to keep bread prices high, despite the cheaper grain this year, Lyudiev added.
