Moldova has used annual quota for the export of wine within half a year   Print  E-mail 
As InfoMarket agency was informed in the press-service of the Ministry of economy and commerce, from March, 1st till October, 15th, 2008, the Ministry has issued 577 permissions for the export of 600 thousand dal. of wine to 31 wineries of Moldova. Besides, during the current year Moldova exported to EU 12970 tons of sugar, thus, having used 93,1 % of all quota of 15 thousand tons provided by EU to our country in 2008. The Ministry of economy and commerce started to issue permissions for the export of barley to EU in July: quota of 20 thousand tons has been used by 40,7 % (8141 tons). For 2009 EU has increased export quotas of the above-mentioned three categories of goods. So, since January, 1st of the next year, the wine quota will make 700 thousand dal, white sugar - 18 thousand tons, barley – 25 thousand tons. As the Ministry of economy and commerce has informed, EU became the major trading partner of Moldova due to independent trade preferences with share exceeding 55 % of all Moldavian export. In January
-August, 2008, export of Moldova to EU has made $545,8 million, having increased by 34 % in comparison with the same period of 2007. The largest amounts of Moldavian goods were exported to Romania – for $226 million, Italy - $116 million, Germany - $48,8 million, Poland - $36 million and Great Britain - $31 million. Moldova exported textiles, electric equipment, food and alcohol production, footwear, etc.
