he Floarea Soarelui Balti vegetable oil refinery lowered its prices for sunflower oil in October on the average by 30%.
 
According to the enterprise administration, the disbursing price for a 1-liter bottle of "Floris" sunflower oil decreased by 31% - to 16.8 lei, for а Rasarit - by 21% -to 15.6 lei.
 
The refinery representatives hope that the trade allowance for the final consumers will not exceed 20%. The administration asserts that in the near time the oil will decrease again. It is caused by a high sunflower yield not only in Moldova, but in the whole regions, as well.
 
In this situation the Floarea Soarelui took a decision to expand its range of products and to issue new sunflower oil trademarks - "Missis Floris" and "Floris Family".
 
The Floarea Soarelui is the largest enterprise of the oil and fat industry in the Republic of Moldova. It enters the WJ Group managing group and has its offices in Budapest and New York. Its authorized capital constitutes 15 million lei, 76.8% of its block of shares belong to the WJ Group. The products of the Balti enterprise (vegetable oils and oil-seed meal) are exported to many countries, including Russia and other CIS countries, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Iraq, the USA. The refinery can process about 1 thousand tons of raw materials a day. From 2001 the increased demand for high-protein fodders in the poultry breeding urged the enterprise to develop the production of Soya oil-seed meal and oil. In 2006 the enterprise received a certificate for the construction of the second refinery for the processing of oil-bearing plants.
