Moldavia applied to Russia with request to authorize pork imports from the Republic, as well as to open the second customs station for exports of Moldavian agricultural products. As the officials of Moldavian Ministry of Economics and Trade reported to RBC, this request was applied in the course of the 10th meeting of Intergovernmental Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Moscow on 7-8 of November 2008.

 

As the representatives of Moldavian Government reported, at present, all Moldavian agricultural products are imported by Russia through the one customs station, and it impedes supply of Moldavian goods to the Russian market.

 

Russian party promised to examine the aforementioned requests on resumption of Moldavian pork imports to Russia, as well as on opening of the second customs station for exports of Moldavian agricultural products. It was filed in the minutes signed on November 8, 2008 upon completion of the meeting.
