Western Australia, the nation's biggest wheat producing and exporting state, has dispatched its first shipment of the crop from the current harvest, CBH Group said.
The 30,000 metric ton cargo left the Geraldton port last weekend bound for Indonesia, CBH, the state's biggest grain handler and marketer, said in an e-mailed statement. The grain, owned by CBH unit AgraCorp, is being shipped to Indonesian flour milling group Bogasari, CBH said.
Australia, the world's sixth-largest wheat exporter, removed AWB Ltd.'s monopoly on overseas sales of the grain this year and will allow multiple parties to export wheat.
