A new system “Belselkhoznadzor” is to be created for strengthening of control over Agricultural Complex in Belarus, as Semen Shapiro, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Supplies reported.

 

This agency will be created “for increasing of efficiency of veterinary, phytosanitary supervision, and state technical authority (Gostechnadzor) in Agricultural Complex with a view to improve the agencies of state administration and reorganize the controlling bodies in the whole”. According to the Minister, this agency is to be formed alike Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of the Russian Federation).

 

The agency will consist of three blocks. The first block will represent veterinary department and veterinary inspections. The second one will include Phytosanitary inspection and state bakery inspection, and the third one will represent state technical authority (Gostechnadzor) with labour, transport and fire safety inspection. Belselkhoznadzor will also include a new inspection for animal breeding.
