Agriculture ministry has to develop optimal mechanism for leasing programs implementation - Prysiazhniuk

The branch ministry is the best to know what technology is necessary for agricultural producers and what should be an optimal mechanism for receiving it on lease. A relevant proposal was prepared for the government consideration.

Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing about this at the Cabinet on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Only the branch department is the best to know how to arrange optimal leasing mechanisms for agricultural producers to receive the machinery. Therefore, we at the government will initiate consideration of the issues on handing over Ukragroleasing to the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry's subordination,” the official noted.

He accentuated that this position is invariable here.

At the same time, the Minister noted that just Ukragroleasing is the main structure, which enables small and medium-sized agricultural producers to purchase the necessary technology. Therefore, its activity should be optimized and made accessible for agricultural producers,” Prysiazhniuk stressed.

As reported, by results of the State Inspection audit, it is recommended to recognize work of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry on organization of fulfillment of measures for realization of the leasing program as unsatisfactory and to raise an issue about responsibility of leaders, who are involved in this work.

According to the Ministry, NJSC Ukragroleasing is accused of the ineffective use of UAH 669 million, allocated from the state budget in 2010-2012.
