IGC sees EU output at 5-year high

Ahead of its monthly markets report, the International Grains Council (IGC) forecasts that EU wheat production could reach its highest volume for five years this 2013/14 season with prices expected to remain steadily low in the short-term.

Last month the IGC pegged its European output forecast for this season at 139.4 million tonnes with this month's prediction expected to be slightly higher for EU-28.
