Pakistan - TCP receives bids for 148,700 t sugar in tender

The Trading Corp. of Pakistan (TCP) has awarded a sugar purchase contract in a tender for 50,000 tonnes to the lowest bidder - M/s Adam Sugar Mills - for a quantity of 5,000 tonnes at PKR48,150 per tonne, according to local press reports.

Sources said that 33 other mills also agreed to supply a cumulative quantity of 143,700 tonnes of sugar at the same price in response to the TCP's price matching offer.
