Russia harvested 33.6 mmt of grains

According to the operative data, as of July 26 Russia already harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 11.8 Mln ha (25.6% of the forecast), and produced nearly 33.6 mmt of grains, an increase of 8.8 mmt compared with the same date last year. The average yield totaled 2.85 t/ha (in 2012 - 2.3 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested wheat throughout 9.1 Mln ha (36.1% of the forecast), and produced 27.8 mmt of the grain (in 2012 - 19.4 mmt), with the yield of 3.07 t/ha (in 2012 - 2.46 t/ha).

Russia harvested more than 3.1 mmt of barley (in 2012 - 2 mmt) throughout 1.3 Mln ha (14.8% of the forecast), with the yield of 2.41 t/ha (in 2012 - 2.25 t/ha).
