Ukrainian corn: from raw material to processing

On the one hand, long term fall on world grain market and unabated era of low prices for raw material makes grain cultivation less attractive and, on the other hand, suggests the search of new profit schemes.  

Recovery of Ukrainian industry can become possible only from agro sector. Currently sunflower oil holds the first line on the list of Ukrainian export commodities. Along with this, crushing capacities outstrip the necessity. The situation is the same with grain handling in ports. Now the attention of investors is getting focused on grain processing. Ukraine increases exports of flour and bran, as well as other grain processed products such as grits and starch.

In this connection it is necessary to understand the corn market prospective as a raw material for further exports and processing together with consumption drivers in Ukraine and on the global scale.
