Grain exports from Ukraine: Surplus of grain-handling capacity. Myth or reality?

Ukrainian ports in the Azov-Black Sea  basin have found themselves in the focus of the grain market’s attention.

The blockade of the Azov Sea entry has entailed ship delays and adversely affected the region’s image as a result.

The Azov Sea ports account for just 3-5% of agricultural shipments from Ukraine.

At the same time, key handling facilities are concentrated mostly in the deep-water Black Sea ports. This sector is normally operating now, still being attractive for investment.

  • Is there in Ukraine a surplus of grain-handling capacities?
  • Does the grain-handling sector remain investment-attractive?
  • What terminals in the grain-handling market are most competitive?

The response to investors’ questions and expectations will be the new, advanced study  “Ukraine. Ports Grain-Handling Facilities” by the analytical center UkrAgroConsult. This up-to-date study will provide additional support to potential investors for own market analysis and strategic development of the company.
