Ukraine. Margarine market heading for recovery


Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 16.2 KMT of margarine in May 2017. Although its May output shrank by 17.3% from the previous month, the margarine market continues to persistently recover this year. So, production increased more than 22% against May 2016 (13.2 KMT).

Margarine output grew to over 90 KMT in the first five months of MY 2017. Thereby it exceeded the respective volumes of the previous two years: up 30% against 2016, when margarine production hit a low of 69.6 KMT at the time, and up 6.5% against 2015 (85 KMT), UkrAgroConsult notes.
