A new oilseed crushing plant to be built in Kazakhstan
It is planned to launch an oilseed crushing plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk in 2019, said East Kazakhstan region governor Danial Akhmetov as cited by the regional administration’s press service on October 14.
According to the governor, the new plant’s products will be supplied not only to the domestic market, but also to China, because it is planned to certify them under Chinese standards. A laboratory for certifying food products under Chinese standards will be set up in East Kazakhstan region next year. All oilseeds shall be examined there.
The plant is projected to be built in the Ust-Kamenogorsk industrial area, taking into account the shortest logistics route. The road from Ust-Kamenogorsk to Maykapchagay will become a modern international highway as soon as next year, the governor said.
In addition, large-scale oilseed growers will reportedly be able to participate in the plant construction with financial support from the government.
