The African swine fever (ASF) outbreak in Central Russia jeopardizes Russian meat export prospects, particularly to China, Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev said on Thursday.

"The whole world is struggling for the Chinese market. We need export, and not only pork but poultry and beef also. China puts forward objective conditions. If the virus appears, it will simply ruin [supplies plans - TASS]," the Minister said.
