Agroconsult maintains high number for Brazilian corn crop

Brazilian corn farmers are already harvest and Agroconsult maintains its production estimate for the cereal at 100 million metric tons. The export projection of the consultancy is 32 million metric tons, mostly because of the recent devaluation of Brazil’s Real, assesses Agroconsult CEO, Andre Pessoa.

The number is well above of what the Brazilian National Supply Company (Conab) had forecast in May. The projection was 92.8 million metric tons. The latest USDA number was 96 million metric tons.
