Algeria bought around 150,000 tonnes wheat in tender- traders

Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC bought around 150,000 tonnes of milling wheat in a tender that closed on Monday, European traders said.

OAIC paid around $225-$226 a tonne, cost and freight (c&f). There was only one seller, traders said.

The origin of the wheat is optional and shipment is due in June.

The purchase was smaller than usually seen in OAIC’s tenders.

OAIC does not publish details of its grain import tenders and results reported by traders are estimates.
