All-time high grain inventories in Russia


According to the Russian Statistics Service, farming, storing and processing companies held 51.05 MMT of grain as of September 1, 2017, or 10.5% more than a year ago. This is the largest volume in Russia’s new history, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat stocks at procuring and processing entities are 23.7% higher than last year: 14.49 MMT, including 9.76 MMT of milling wheat (up 26.8% year-on-year).

Barley inventories increased 24.4% to 2.19 MMT, while those of corn gained 68.2% and reached 530 KMT.
