Asia. Iran and Azerbaijan to connect railway networks


Iran and Azerbaijan will unite their railway networks with the opening of a railway between Astara in Iran and Astara in Azerbaijan. The railway networks of Iran and Azerbaijan will be connected with the completion of Astara-Astara highway construction, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Astara-Astara railway is a part of the international transport corridor "North-South", which aims to integrate the transport and information highways of Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, India and Oman.

Detailed information on upgrading logistics system in the countries of Black Sea region will be discussed at the XIV International Conference “Black Sea Grain: Wind of Change”, which will take place on April 5-6, 2017 in InterContinental hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
