The watermelon could be in 2017 the new trendy "superaliment" like the coconut has been a few years ago.
Watermelon is not a new fruit but its "content" is now absorbed differently. Watermelon juice and watermelon seeds become "superfoods".
Besides its benefits for hydration, the "water" in watermelon is rich in micro-nutrients and amino acid that would have virtue to reduce muscle pain and increase performance.
The black seeds of watermelons are high in protein and contain "good" fats and fibers. Stored from their bitter black shells the seeds can be roasted and / or salted to be served as a snack. Excellent at breakfast, they say.
