Barley exports from Ukraine down 6.5% year-on-year


Barley exports from Ukraine continued lowering in November that is a traditional trend for this period of season. Ukraine exported 167.4 KMT of barley during the month, or 44% less than at the same time last marketing year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In the first five months of MY 2017/18, Ukrainian barley exports totaled more than 3.73 MMT that is down 6.5% year-on-year. The current pace of barley exports from Ukraine is similar to that seen in MY 2015/16, when 4.4 MMT of barley was exported.

In November, Ukrainian barley was supplied to its traditional end markets: Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisia, Israel, Iran and others.
