Belarus continues sowing early spring cereals and pulses

Unsteady weather delays soil maturity and slows down the pace of field work. As before, the 10-cm top soil layer is moderately wet mostly in the southern regions. Subzero night temperatures frequently freeze the top soil to a slight degree, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to the latest observations, the soil temperature at a 10-cm depth averages mostly +2..+4°C, occasionally rising to +5°C in the south.

Farmers are tilling drier fields and sowing early spring cereals and pulses there.

Due to expected precipitation and unsteady temperatures, the meteorological conditions will not become much better for field work this week.
