Belarus. Grain harvest advanced half as far as last year


The grain harvest in Belarus is gaining pace, but it lags far behind last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to current information of the Ag Ministry of Belarus, farmers harvested cereals and pulses from 708.6 Th ha (31.4% of the plan) by August 7. They got 2.5 MMT of grain with an average yield of 3.54 MT/ha.

4.7 MMT of grain was harvested from 1364.7 Th ha (61.8%) by the same date in 2016, with an average yield of 3.46 MT/ha.
