Belarus has lifted a ban on the import of poultry from Kaliningrad
Belarus has canceled the previously imposed restrictions on import to the Republic of poultry from some regions of some countries, including the Kaliningrad region of Russia, reported on the website of the Department of veterinary and food supervision of the Belarusian Ministry of agriculture
It is noted that this decision was made based on the recommendations of the International epizootic Bureau about which countries are considered disadvantaged because of bird flu.
"Invalidates the instructions banning the import... from the Kaliningrad region of Russia, West Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland, the Netherlands, the region Of Haut-de-France, France, Upper Austria and Salzburg, Austria, Denmark, Chernivtsi region of Ukraine, the åland Islands of Finland, land Baden-württemberg, Hesse and Saarland of Germany", – stated in the message.
At the end of 2016-early 2017 due to cases of birds with highly pathogenic avian influenza Belarus banned the import of these regions live poultry, hatching eggs, wild, zoo and circus susceptible animals, poultry meat, egg powder, mélange, albumin and other food-products, chicken eggs, fluff and feathers.
The ban also extended to feeds and feed additives from birds, feed and feed additives of vegetable origin, hunting trophies, as well as used equipment for transportation of poultry products, contents, slaughter and cutting of poultry.
