Belarus imported 30% more than a year ago

According to official information of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Belarus, soybean meal imports increased to 307 KMT in 2017 (January-November) that is 28% more than at the same time a year ago, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Noteworthy is that the two-year downward trend in purchases of foreign soybean meal was reversed last year under the impact of strengthening demand from the Belarusian livestock sector.

About 90% of its imports (245 KMT) was accounted for by Argentine meal.

As a reminder, Belarus imported roughly 269 KMT of soybean meal for the whole 2016.
