Belarus will limit the supply of poultry and meat from a number of countries


Country restricts the supply of poultry and meat from certain countries where according to the International epizootic office, cases of disease of birds with highly pathogenic avian influenza susceptible species FMD and African swine fever

This is stated in the instructions posted on the website of the Department of veterinary and food supervision of the Ministry of agriculture and food.

Restrictions apply to the import of poultry from some regions of the Netherlands (province Groningen, Overijssel, Friesland and Zealand), Serbia (the territory South Metropolitan district), great Britain (Lincolnshire), Germany (lower Saxony), Poland (Subcarpathian Voivodeship), Russia (Krasnodar region).

Because FMD has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of meat susceptible to this disease animals from Zabaykalsky Krai of Russia.

Additional measures to prevent the importation into Belarus of pork from Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine taken over a new case of ASF in this region.

At the same time canceled all previously issued permits for import to Belarus poultry and meat from these regions.
