Belarus. Winter cereals are normally viable

Judging by the results of a growing test conducted in late January, most of winter cereals are normally viable – they showed full plant growth or sparseness/loss rates within natural levels, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In most winter rape samples, sparseness was also insignificant or absent at all. However, over one-third of the samples in Vitebsk region appeared somewhat too sparse, while single samples in the west of the region were heavily sparse. Winter rape was partially winterkilled here. In Gomel region, where part of rape plantings were in poor condition prior to entering the winter, heavy and very heavy sparseness was seen in one-quarter of the samples.
