Ukraine. Allseeds starts new ambitious project in Yuzhny port

Allseeds Group, which operates in Yuzhny seaport, plans to invest USD 15 million in creation of an oil hub. According to the Office of the National Investment Council of Ukraine, a trading and loading point will be created at the terminal for traders and crushers.

In October, Allseeds expects a growth of handling capacities in order to reach 100 KMT of oil per month by the end of 2018, with the prospect of increasing volumes to 1.5 MMT in 2019, reports UkrAgroConsult.

 

Russia. In 2019 discounts for railroad grain transportation may be resumed

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture suggests resuming subsidies for grain exports by rail from remote regions of Russia in 2019. At the end of 2017, the government adopted a decree, according to which Russian Railways were provided subsidies until June 30, 2018 for compensation of losses during grain cargo transportation without freight charges. Preferential tariff applies to grain exports from regions distant from seaports (Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Tambov, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Kurgan, Novosibirsk and Omsk regions). To implement these measures, the government allocated RUB 3 billion.

 

Kazakhstan. Exporters concerned about grain hoppers shortage

North Kazakhstan exporters of agricultural commodities are concerned about the shortage of railway hoppers. Entrepreneurs say that they have been facing this problem for more than a year. Due to the constant delay in shipping, local commodity producers not only lose their customers abroad, but also cannot pay loans and salaries on time. Last season, the lack of hoppers for grain and flour deliveries reached about one thousand. Now local grain reception centers are filled by 30%.
