Ukraine. Cargill terminal to work at full capacity in December

Official opening of a grain terminal of global commodity trader Cargill and MV Cargo in "Yuzhny" seaport is scheduled for May 2019, although the terminal will start working at full capacity in December 2018. Today the construction project of the grain terminal Cargill and MV Cargo in "Yuzhny" seaport is implemented by more than 85%. The first complex of the terminal was opened on June 01, 2018, reports UkrAgroConsult.

MV Cargo is building the grain terminal with an annual capacity of 5 MMT in Yuzhny port. The terminal will be equipped with 14 silos 15 KMT each and a grain storage warehouse for 80 KMT. The terminal is equipped with its own railway and automobile infrastructure. Truck unloading station can handle up to 790 trucks per day, while the unloading station for hoppers - 256 rail cars per day. The total amount of investments is USD 150 million.

20 large international companies show interest in concession of SE “Kherson Commercial Sea Port” and SE "Stevedoring Company "Olvia". According to the Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan, the ministry expects the competition to start this year.

Russia. DP World interested in bulk terminals in Taman port

Global port operator DP World is interested in the possibility to manage bulk terminals in the Russian seaport Taman. At the same time, the representative of DP World refused to give a straight answer to the proposal, referring to the necessity to coordinate such solutions within the company.

Since the beginning of 2000s, the group of companies OTECO has been implementing a comprehensive investment program for construction of terminal facilities in Taman port. Currently, the company has built and put into operation complexes for handling liquefied petroleum gases, crude oil and petroleum products with an annual capacity at 20 MMT.

As a part of an investment program, the company will build a 35 MMT-terminal for handling coal, iron ore, sulfur and mineral fertilizers in Taman, as well as a grain-handling complex with an annual capacity of 14.5 MMT.
