Brazil: Corn exports fall 80% in October on annual comparison


Corn exports have fell 80 percent in October in Brazil in comparison to same month of last year, according to new data released by the Brazilian government. The total output exported in the period was 1.1 million metric tons. In the comparison with September of 2016, there was also a fall from the 2.9 million metric tons.

Overall in the year, there was an increase of 11.3 percent comparing to January to October of 2015 with 19.8 million metric tons of cereal exported in the period. The average price of corn exports was US$ 172.90 in October.
