Brazil’s Conab increases forecast for soy production; higher than pvt consultancies


Brazil’s National Supply Company (Conab) has updated its projection for the Brazilian soybean production to 113.03 million metric tons, which is three million metric tons higher than a month ago. That is also an 18.4 percent growth comparing to the previous crop. So far, Brazilian farmers harvested 92.8 million metric tons of beans.

The projection for corn production was increased by the agency too. A month ago, Conab expected an output of the cereal at 91.4 million metric tons. Now, there is an expectation of 92.8 million metric tons, considering the output from the summer and the winter.
