Brazilian state of Paraná will have soybean production reduced; estimates for corn are up


New data from the Department of Agriculture of the state of Paraná in Brazil put up the estimates for summer corn production is 4.29 million metric tons or 30 percent higher than 2015/2016, as planting takes high speed at the final stretch. The previous estimate was that the output in the summer would reach 4.27 million metric tons. At this point, approximately 95 percent of the crops are in good conditions.

In the case of soybeans, there will be a reduction of one percent of the surface comparing to last year, while production would reach 18.28 million metric tons, down from 18.29 million meitrc tons at the previous estimate.
