Bulgaria. Advance in grain exports changed into a lag behind last year

The substantial year-on-year rise in export grain supplies from Bulgaria seen in the first half of the current season has already changed into a lag.

So, Bulgaria exported 3.34 MMT of wheat in MY 2017/18 by February 9, or 4% less at the same time last marketing year. As of this date, corn exports were down 3% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The greatest shortfall is in export shipments of barley, which are down 27% year-on-year (273.2 KMT) because of a drop in the Bulgarian crop.
