Bulgaria. Corn prices increased slightly last week

Last week corn was the only feed crop which closed the week with a slight increase. Corn exports from the country somewhat revived late in the season. Bulgaria exported some 1 MMT of corn by August 25. Nevertheless, its exports are down almost 30% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Export prices for Bulgarian corn from the new crop are stable at $173-175/MT FOB for September-October delivery, despite bearish trends in major corn growing countries of the Black Sea region. Its price was propped up by concerns about the quality and size of this year’s corn crop, the more so as further decrease is observed in Bulgaria’s planted acreage.
