Bulgaria. Corn yield is up 9.2% year-on-year


According to current information of Bulgaria’s Ag Ministry, corn was harvested from 368.3 Th ha by October 19 (88% of the planned 418.2 Th ha). Its crop amounted to 2138.1 KMT with an average yield of 5.81 MT/ha that is up 9.2% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Farmers have started sowing winter cereals all across Bulgaria. As of the reporting date, winter wheat in Bulgaria was planted on 629.8 Th ha (up 14.2% from last year), winter barley on some 63.8 Th ha (down 8.2%).
