Bulgaria. Rapeseed prices grew last week supported by lower yields and crop

Purchase prices for sunseed in Bulgaria grew to BGN 550/MT (BGN 548/MT a week earlier) that is equivalent of USD 336/MT (down USD 2/MT). The rise in demand from crushers, who started stockpiling new-crop feedstock, pushed up purchase prices for sunseed. However, as expected, their growth is curbed by the harvest progress, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Purchase prices in the Bulgarian rapeseed market closed the week at BGN 664/MT against BGN 662 a week earlier (USD 406/MT, or -USD 5/MT). The preliminary harvest results are worse than last year: the crop and yield are down 7% and 3.1%, respectively. This factor drove rapeseed prices upward.
