Bulgaria. Sunseed market continued growing for a second week in a row

The Bulgarian sunseed market has been growing for a second week in a row, even though the lev/dollar cross exchange rate was stable at the time, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As growers hold back sales, traders prepared to export sunseed outside the EU are forced to raise prices. In addition, local crushers continue competing for available product. Sunseed price closed the week up BGN 2/MT (up USD 3/MT). Overall, sunseed exports are up almost 63% from last season.

Due to the absence of any real supply, Bulgaria’s rapeseed market issued no indicative selling prices for the commodity. According to current information, 2017/18 export statistics fall 14% short of last year.
