Bulgaria. Sunseed prices fell down USD 8/MT during last week


In the Bulgarian market purchase prices for sunseed fell to BGN 537/MT (BGN 550/MT a week ago) that is equivalent to USD 328/MT (down USD 8/MT). The harvest results were the dominant factor pressuring prices this past week. So, as of September 14, the harvest progress was 5.4% ahead of last year and yields were 0.4% higher than in 2016. In turn, according to current information, the pace of sunseed exports is almost half slower than last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Purchase prices for rapeseed in the Bulgarian market closed the week unchanged at BGN 664/MT that is equivalent to USD 406/MT. The market features strengthening demand from traders and quickening rapeseed exports. Roughly 264 KMT was shipped abroad, including some 92% to EU countries.
