Bulgaria. Wheat harvest drawing to a close


The wheat and barley harvest in Bulgaria is drawing to an end. According to current information of the Bulgarian Ag Ministry, barley was harvested from 130 Th ha (99.5%) by August 3. Farmers got 619 KMT with an average yield of 4.76 MT/ha, or 7.7% higher than at the same time last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

By the reporting date, wheat was harvested from 1045 Th ha (95% of the plan) with a crop of 5476 KMT and an average yield of 5.24 MT/ha (up 9.9% year-on-year).
