Bulgaria. Wheat harvested area is 70% lower than last year


According to Bulgaria’s Agriculture Ministry, barley was harvested from 57.12 Th ha (44%) by June 29. This is 53.7% less than at the same time last year. Farmers got 283.48 KMT (down 48.9% from 2016) with an average yield of 4.96 MT/ha (up 10.5% year-on-year), reports UkrAgroConsult.

By the reporting date, wheat was harvested from 37.3 Th ha (3%) that is down 70.4% year-on-year. Farmers got 195.246 KMT (down 67.1% from 2016) with an average yield of 5.23 MT/ha (up 11.5% year-on-year).
