Bulgarian farmers actively sowing peas


According to Bulgaria’s Ag Ministry, spring barley had been sown on 2.52 Th ha by April 6 that is 33% more than at the same time last year (1.89 Th ha). Corn for grain had been planted on 79.97 Th ha compared to 52.7 Th ha by the same time last year.

In addition, peas were sown on 22.26 Th ha as of the above-mentioned date – three times as much as last year (6.57 Th ha) – and oats were seeded on 7.84 Th ha (up 62.7% from last year’s 4.82 Th ha), reports UkrAgroConsult.
