Bulgarian farmers gathered 174% more pea than last year

According to current information of Bulgaria’s Ag Ministry, corn was harvested from 16.3 Th ha in the country by September 07 (4% out of the planned 419.1 Th ha). Its crop amounted to 86.2 KMT with an average yield of 5.27 MT/ha (up 3.3% year-over-year), reports UkrAgroConsult.

As a reminder, Bulgarian farmers have completed harvesting wheat and barley. Barley was harvested from 130.6 Th ha with its crop at 620.5 KMT and average yield at 4.75 MT/ha (up 7.5% year-over-year). Wheat was harvested from 1098.7 Th ha with its crop at 5761.6 KMT and average yield at 5.24 MT/ha (up 10.3% year-on-year).

In addition, pea harvesting is at its final stage in the country. Peas were harvested from 30 Th ha by September 07. The crop amounted to 94 KMT, or 174% more than last year. Their yield averaged 3.16 MT/ha.
