Bulgarian grain market remained quite brisk last week

In Bulgaria domestic purchase prices for grains closed the week on a bearish note following their considerable growth a week ago, reports UkrAgroConsult. The decline of Bulgaria’s grain prices in dollar terms was caused mainly by an appreciation of the Bulgarian national currency against the U.S. dollar.

Overall, the grains market remained quite brisk throughout the week. Only the markets of feed wheat and barley featured some downturn in demand. With regard to milling wheat and corn, purchases in these grain market segments continued to be quite active.

In addition, owing to vivid deliveries of Bulgarian milling wheat and corn to foreign markets, export prices for these cereals keep within their previous ranges.
