Bulgarian rapeseed yields have been averaging 2.51 MT/ha in the recent eight years. Regarding a longer period of time, the nation had gained minor experience of rapeseed growing back prior to MY 2008/09. At the time, this oilseed’s plantings were insignificant and its yield averaged just 1.53 MT/ha. The latter came to a record level of 2.97 MT/ha in the 2016/17 season that allowed farmers to harvest quite a decent crop for Bulgaria: 509 KMT, or up more than 20% year-on-year.
