Bulgarian wheat exports could reach 4 MMT


The Agriculture Ministry of Bulgaria forecasts the country’s 2016/17 export potential will include 4 MMT of wheat and 70 KMT of wheat flour, reports UkrAgroConsult. The ministry says Bulgaria exported 3.495 MMT of wheat and 66 KMT of flour in season 2015/16.

Noteworthy is that Bulgaria exported roughly 3 MMT of wheat this season by December 23, or 75% more than at the same time a year ago. About 66% of the Bulgarian wheat exported in season 2016/17 went to the EU market.
