By the end of 2016, Russia produced 30.7 million tonnes of milk


Stable positive dynamics of milk production observed in the agricultural organizations and peasant (farm).

In particular, at the end of 2016 in the agricultural companies received more than 15 million tons of milk, which is 2.2% more than in the previous year, in the peasant (farm) growth was 6.1% to 2.16 million tons.

The highest growth of milk production in agricultural organizations for the year 2016 is fixed in the Voronezh region (12,9%), Kirov region (6,3%), the Udmurt Republic (4,2%), the Republic of Tatarstan (3.3 percent), and Krasnodar region (2.6 percent). The decreasea in production was noted in Moscow, Omsk and Orenburg oblasts, and Krasnoyarsk Krai.

According to Rosstat, milk production in Russia is based on 1 cow dairy herd in the agricultural organizations (except microenterprises) increased compared to the year 2015 4.1% to 5449 kg. the Highest increase milk productivity observed in the Republic of Crimea (56,5%), Penza (12.9%) and Sakhalin oblast (by 12.4%
