Cargill increasing oilseed crushing capacities in China

America’s Cargill, in cooperation with China’s New Hope Group and Hebei Bohai Investment Group, launched a USD 100 Ml-worth oilseed crushing plant with an annual processing capacity of 1.32 MMT in the Chinese province of Hebei. The plant is purposed to meet the growing demand for high-quality foods in North China and stimulate the local economy’s development, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Roughly 21,000 sq. m was provided to the plant of Hebei Jiahao Grain & Oil Co Ltd in the largest national economic development zone on the north-eastern coast of China. The facility will produce vegoils and animal feeds to be sold in the north of the country. Shipments to foreign markets are possible, too.

Cargill already has three oilseed crushing plants in South China. Thus, Hebei Jiahao Grain & Oil Co Ltd will become the first large plant in the north of the country.
